Shooting Para sport is the sport of shooting for Para athletes who have a physical impairment leading to reduced function in the lower and/or upper limbs.
Target shooting is a sport that can be enjoyed by anybody, regardless of age, gender, size, strength or fitness.
There are a number of different types of shooting and shooting clubs in Wellington who cater for a range of skills and abilities. There are 2 main shooting ranges in Wellington which are used by most clubs.
Royal Tiger Range
Five clubs use the Royal Tiger Range between February and December. The range is indoors so it is not weather dependent.

Trentham Rifle Club
The shooting season typically runs every Saturday afternoon from September through to the end of May. Visitors are welcome to attend an afternoon shoot and try their hand. The first afternoon’s shooting is free except for a charge for the ammunition used. The Club has several club rifles, and a selection of equipment which is available for a small fee.
